"Being an AKA means a lifetime of being joined together in a diverse sisterhood that allows me to take my small service efforts and combine them with like-minded others to take large steps in supporting communities and providing service for all mankind. It is a lifetime of joy, commitment, and everlasting bonds with lifelong sisters. I love being an AKA!"

"When I think of AKA, I think of sisterhood.  I think of a group of women that no matter our backgrounds we come together to work towards common goals.  We are there for each other providing support, laughter, and shoulder to cry on if needed.  No matter where we are in the world we always can find a sister."

"What Alpha Kappa Alpha means to me is having a passion of service to all mankind while giving back to those in my community. I have a built-in family, endless professional development and lasting opportunities that fulfill my purpose while serving others and helping to change the world around me. I now have lifelong connections with likeminded driven women who care about me just as much as I care about them."
